Help determine category winners, identify projects that will advance to CSEF, and nominate projects for special awards, ISEF, ThermoFisher JIC, and Best in Fair.
In-Person Judging Day
Monday, March 8, 2027
Judges are assigned to categories based on number of projects in each category to ensure every student receives feedback from multiple judges.
All judges are provided with a judging rubric.
Eligibility Requirements
Junior Division
Grades 6–8 · 23 categories
- check_circle Certificated science, engineering, math, or CS teachers (cannot judge their own school's students)
- check_circle Individuals holding degrees in STEM fields
- check_circle STEM professionals
- check_circle Undergraduate pre-service teachers or STEM degree candidates (Juniors/Seniors with research experience)
- check_circle Retired individuals meeting the above criteria
Senior Division
High School · 18 categories
- check_circle PhDs, post docs and professionals in STEM fields
- check_circle STEM degree holders, preferably with college poster session or science fair experience
- check_circle Graduate STEM degree students
- check_circle Certificated high school STEM teachers (cannot judge their own school's students)
- check_circle STEM professionals with five or more years of experience
- check_circle Retired individuals meeting the above criteria

Access the online registration system at app.lascifair.org and enter your information.

Select your division and categories
Indicate your preferred division (Junior or Senior) and up to three project categories you are qualified to evaluate.
