Volunteers are the backbone of the fair. From set-up, to guiding students through check-in, project screening and clean-up, your 2.5-hour shift makes the day run smoothly for hundreds of young scientists.

School Volunteer Quotas

Each participating school is expected to provide adult volunteers in proportion to the number of projects it submits. Recruiting from your school community is a great way to fill your quota.

1 adult volunteer required from your school.

7–13 Projects

2 adult volunteers required from your school.

Judge Credit

A school that provides a judge receives credit for 2 volunteers toward its quota.

Shift Length

2.5 Hours

You may sign up for more than one shift — each shift counts separately.

You will receive your assignment details and any final instructions by email one week before fair day.

How to Register

    Create an account

    Go to app.lascifair.org and register with your information. You will receive an automated password by email within 72 hours.

  2. 2

    Select your shift(s)

    Log back in once you receive your password and choose your preferred volunteer positions, dates, and times.

    Already registered as a judge or site coordinator?

    Use a different email address to create a separate volunteer account.
